Bookings Terms and Conditions

1.       Face Painting, Crystal Gems, Giant Bubbles, Glitter Tattoos and Character Entertainment bookings require a 50% booking deposit which must be made at time of reservation and no later than 48hrs after booking. If you need more time please discuss this with us and we will do our best to accommodate. This deposit is not refundable in the case of cancellation. Your dates are not confirmed until this deposit is paid.

2.       Payments must be made to Sunny Kids Parties at the time of booking to confirm. Please also send a screenshot of the payment to our phone 0410 140 855 or email sunnykidspartiesperth@gmail.com.

3.       Sunny Kids Parties is a registered business with ABN 92631743560 and $20 million Public Liability Insurance. All our staff carry current Working with Children Cards.

4.       In the event of a cancellation for any reason by the client or due to government mandated restrictions, the booking deposit will be held as credit allowing you to change the date of your event within 12 months of original booking, subject to our availability. A booking fee of $50 will be charged for admin costs. We will do our best to accommodate your new date of event subject to our availability. We will provide a full refund in the rare event we need to cancel for matters beyond our control such as sickness, however this does not apply if there is a conflict with the client.

5.       Full balance of payment to be made upon our arrival to the event, the entertainment will not go ahead unless full payment is made before commencement. We accept cash on arrival, bank transfer or EFTPOS upon request. Failure to pay within 7 calendar days after your event will incur a $50 late fee.

6.       Face Painting bookings are usually a minimum 2 hours, payment is $125 per hour or part thereof, for up to 20-25 children. We know that party attendees can change so we allow for a couple extra show up on the day. However, bookings for 25 children or more include a $5 per child additional fee or we recommend booking additional time. For larger events of 40 kids or more you may require 2 or more entertainers.

7.       A travel fee may be added if the distance is deemed far from Dianella (more than 20kms or 30+ minute drive).

8.       Our entertainers reserve the right to a safe working environment, we request that you provide a comfortable and safe space such as indoors with air-conditioning during hot weather, and inside or under protective shelter during cold/wet weather. Our costumes and products cannot withstand rain and could be damaged which the client may be liable for. We may be required to leave early without refund if the conditions are not appropriate or safe for our entertainers. This includes any inappropriate or offensive behaviour by children, parents, their guests or members of the public.

9.       When choosing your time, please note it can take up to 5 minutes to paint each child depending on the complexity of the design and the age of children. We average around 10 -12 children per hour, so please calculate the time you need to hire based on number the of children. We also need to allow for time in between children to clean equipment for hygiene to prevent bacterial transmission and follow Health Department policies which are provided on our website www.sunnykidsparties.com.au

10.    Please note we are unable to paint children who are sick, particularly with any skin lesions or open wounds. If your child has any contagious illness, please understand we need to follow health and safety protocols and may refuse to paint them. This includes snotty nose, weeping eyes or signs of cold or flu.

11.    Kindly clean your child’s face of food or dirt before putting them in the chair, we will happily offer a wet wipe for you.

12.    Due to limitations on our insurance, we do not paint infants or toddlers who are not able to hold themselves up or sit still. If your child is stressed or does not want to be painted, we may decline to paint them because we always want to make this a positive experience for your child. We allow children to choose their designs and don’t prescribe to gender normative roles.

13.    We only use professional and FDA approved products like TAG, Diamond FX, Fusion which are skin safe, however there are no guarantees, if your child is at risk of allergies, please look up the ingredients on their product websites or advise us to do a patch test on the arm. We do not recommend allowing your children to sleep over night with face paint on, please wash with warm soapy water before bed. 

14.    If we are required to stay longer than 15 minutes over the time booked, this may incur a further fee of $50 to compensate. We allow 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after booked timeslot for set up and pack down. Please be respectful of our time as it is common for us to have another event the same day, we carefully schedule enough time between jobs for cleaning and travel so asking us to do last minute paints as we are packing down will be refused and may offend.

15.    Our entertainers will do their best to dress up in a theme or colour scheme to match your child’s birthday, we will ask you the theme and discuss designs with you. Otherwise, the default is Fairy Face Painter as per our marketing or the Sunny Kids Parties uniform.

16.    We like to take photos of our work and of our events to use for our promotion and social media marketing, by confirming this booking you are agreeing to allow us to use the pictures on our social media and marketing. If you do not consent, please advise us before the event.

17. It is not possible to guarantee which entertainer will attend your event, we will do our best to provide the costume requested, although that is a representation of the costume theme available and no guarantee of which entertainer will be available on your date. All Sunny Kids staff are professional face painters and entertainers capable to provide the same level of service, but are subject to availability. 

18.    By paying the deposit you are agreeing to these terms and conditions and understand the obligations under this agreement.
